Pecans are the only major tree nut native to North America. Before European settlers arrived, indigenous communities across what's now Georgia, Texas, and the Mississippi River valley had been eating them for centuries. Georgia still grows roughly 30% of the US commercial crop, and Georgia pecans are what most American bakers, pie makers, and holiday cooks reach for when a recipe calls for "pecans."
Ours come straight from Georgia growers, shipped raw to our Monroe, NY facility, and roasted in-house in small batches with a light sea salt finish. Oil-free roast (no butter, no coating), just dry heat and salt. You get the natural sweetness of fresh pecans concentrated by the roast, plus a mild savory edge from the salt. kosher certified. Pecan halves only, not pieces, which means cleaner presentation for charcuterie boards, holiday baking, and gift assembly.

Why Roasted and Lightly Salted
Raw pecans taste fine but lean slightly bitter because of the tannins in the thin inner skin. Roasting deepens the natural sweetness and mellows the bitterness, which is why pecan pie recipes always call for toasted pecans (even when they don't say so explicitly). Our light sea salt finish adds contrast without overpowering the flavor the way heavily salted cocktail nuts do. You can eat them straight from the bag without feeling like you've overdone the sodium.
The "roasted in-house" part matters. Most supermarket roasted pecans are factory-roasted months before they hit the shelf, and roasted nuts have a shorter shelf life than raw. A month-old roasted pecan tastes noticeably duller than one roasted recently. Ours ship within 24 business hours of order from Monroe, NY, so what lands at your door is closer to roast date than any bag at your local grocery.

How People Use Them
Straight snacking. The light salt makes these easy to eat by the handful. Good pairing with red wine, sharp cheddar, or dark chocolate.
Pecan pie and holiday baking. Classic Thanksgiving and Christmas use. Roasted halves give the pie a deeper, nuttier flavor than raw. Also great in pecan sandies, butter pecan cookies, and maple-pecan tarts.
Salads. Chopped over spinach salads with goat cheese, cranberries, and maple vinaigrette. Or Waldorf-style with apples and celery.
Charcuterie boards. Pecan halves hold up visually on a board and pair well with aged cheeses, dates, and cured meats.
Sweet potato and winter squash dishes. Sprinkled over roasted sweet potatoes with brown sugar and butter. Classic Southern side.
Ice cream and yogurt topping. Chopped into vanilla ice cream, butter pecan ice cream, or Greek yogurt with honey.
Corporate and holiday gifts. 3 lb and 5 lb sizes work for gift basket assembly or break down into smaller portions for client gifting.
How Freshness Holds Up
Roasted pecans have a shorter shelf life than raw (oils oxidize faster after heat exposure), so seal the bag tightly after each use and keep it cool. 3 to 4 months pantry, 9 months refrigerated. For the 3 lb or 5 lb sizes, move half to the freezer on arrival. Freezing extends shelf life to 2 years without changing texture or flavor. Every order ships within 24 business hours from Monroe, NY.
