Chocolate is heat-sensitive during transit, particularly between June and September. We ship these rods with care and use insulated packaging when conditions call for it, but chocolate can be affected by heat exposure that occurs after the package leaves our warehouse. If you are ordering during summer months, let the recipient know the expected delivery window so the package is not left in a hot mailbox or on a sunny porch.

For corporate deliveries to climate-controlled office buildings, heat during transit is typically not a concern. For residential summer deliveries, alerting the recipient in advance handles most of the risk. From November through March, no special handling is needed.

Once received, store the tube in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not refrigerate unless the storage area is warm, as condensation can affect the chocolate coating and toppings when the tube is brought back to room temperature.
